Paul Hatton was a friend of Chris Gollon, and is a collector of his paintings. In these cufflinks he successfully manages to make these silver cufflinks look like his friend's paintings. Each set is very slightly different, since each is handmade and the enamel applied by hand, so each, like Gollon's paintings, is also an original. With Paul Hatton, IAP Fine Art has released these new cufflink sets to coincide with Eleanor McEvoy's new album, 'Gimme Some Wine' (Blue Dandelion Music, 2021).
The title track is the song she wrote for Chris Gollon and dedicated to him. Gollon produced a series of 23 'Gimme Some Wine' paintings in response, the last great series of works on a theme he made before his untimely death in 2017. All feature in IAP Fine Art's online exhibition and the accompanying fine art exhibition catalogue. These cufflinks bring together music, wine, still life painting, fine jewellery and friendship, raising a glass to the great British painter Chris Gollon.
