In July 2014, Chris Gollon’s 49ft long painting ‘And It Came To Pass’, which was a collaboration with Grammy-nominated classical virtuoso and composer Yi Yao, was shown at the Henley Festival, Henley-on-Thames, with Yi’s quartet playing beside it in the warm summer evenings. Other artists performing at the Festival included Burt Bacharach and Bryan Ferry, with each of the three evenings being a black tie event. Christina Jansen, Chris Gollon’s official photographer and friend for many years, took this wonderful photograph as the sun had set and the fireworks lit the sky.
