This painting takes its title and partial inspiration from a lyric in the title ballad of Bob Dylan’s album ‘Tempest’ (2012). It comes from a series of works Chris Gollon painted in 2016 on paper, as he developed his own form of grisaille, using just black, white and burnt sienna.
